Mensing’s Linkedin brings up CARA, which appears to be a coalition of 5 different organizations, based in Texas. The C-A-R-A in CARA stands for CLINIC, AILA, RAICES and the American Immigration Council. http://archive.is/cV5FK

“Jimmy Golden, a member of the 2017 Refugee Caravan, wrote and recorded this song about migrants’ fight for justice through caravans. Now in 2018 migrants and refugees will set foot again and raise their voices.”

Caravan is mostly men:
Note how they are painting this, “The Caravan Against Fear”.
“The Caravan Against Fear begins in Northern California on April 10 and will visit cities in the Bay Area and Central Valley before arriving in Los Angeles and Southern California where the border wall between San Diego, CA and Tijuana, Mexico stretches out into the waves of the Pacific Ocean. After Easter, the Caravan will head east along the border –through Arizona, New Mexico and Texas– to the Gulf of Mexico. The Caravan will join with resistance struggles in big border cities like San Diego and El Paso; as well as those in small towns and indigenous communities. We will traverse the diversity and vast open spaces in what the ACLU has called the “Constitution Free Zone” along our 1954-mile border with Mexico.”
According to Univision, once the large wave of migrants reaches the northern border town, they will attempt to “obtain asylum in the United States.” Otherwise, if that fails, thousands of migrants will hold demonstrations — most likely on the border crossings, which could create a humanitarian crisis for the United States.
